How to change the carbon.
Step 2
Unscrew the lid.
Four screws and a Phillips. Lift the lid off and empty the spent carbon.
Step 3
Fill both sides.
Pour fresh carbon into both compartments, evenly. Do not pack it down and do not overfill — the lid has to screw back flat.
Step 4
Close it and reset.
Refasten the lid, slide the box back in, then reset the filter indicator: hold Mode + Pause for three seconds.
Refillable by design
The carbon box pulls straight out.
Push the back panel and the box slides out. Unscrew the lid, pour in fresh carbon, screw it shut, slide it back. A screwdriver is the only tool it takes.

You refill from a bag. There is no proprietary cartridge to be discontinued, and nothing to subscribe to.

A divider splits the box into two channels, so air leaves through carbon on both sides. Fill both evenly — that is the air path the machine is built around.
