No. Dry, ground food scraps. Mix into soil or a compost pile to finish, or put them in the trash. They are dry and light. Not finished compost. Not fertilizer.

Auto is about 2 to 8 hours — the machine reads the batch. Quick is a fixed 4 hours. Self-clean is about 60 minutes. Storage is fan only, no heat.

About 1 kWh on a 4-hour cycle (Quick is a fixed 4 hours). Auto reads the batch and runs 2–8 hours, so the kWh moves with the load. Rated 500 W, 120 V / 60 Hz.

It should not smell like the scraps you put in. Dual-channel carbon handles the air while it runs. A fan-only Storage mode keeps air moving between cycles. If it does start to smell, change the carbon even if 45 cycles are not up.
